5-WEEK LEVEL 1 TRAINING & SOCIALISATION COURSE​

Its never too late to start training!  Our 5-week basic obedience course welcomes older, dog-friendly puppies who have had no previous formal training and would benefit from learning the basics and enjoying off-leash socialisation!  Helps owners deepen the bond and develop clear communication with their older puppy.

- Sit, Down, Touch Recall, Go to Mat and Settle behaviours

- Develop Impulse Control with new skills like Leave-It, Stay, 4-paws on floor

- Behaviours trained using food lures, then quickly progress to handsignals & verbal cues

- Loose-lead walking techniques

- Building a Reliable Recall with distractions

- Carefully supervised off-leash play

- Manage puppy behaviours like play-biting, jumping, chewing etc

-  Key socialisation with other puppies, adults and children and novel stimuli
- Dog Safety & Bite Prevention: appropriate puppy handling, teaching bite inhibition, trading games etc

- Grooming preparation (happy with hands and brush skills)

- Puppy nutrition, husbandry, care & grooming

- Responsible dog ownership
- Boosts SHY puppies confidence & helps prevent fear-based behaviours

pre-requisite:  full set of vaccinations PLUS canine cough vaccine​

**COVID PROTOCOLS**

• Masks are MANDATORY at our training location - please wear from exiting your car
• Hand-washing or sanitisation on arrival
• Temperature check on arrival
• Please observe 2m distancing from other clients while on-site
• 1 handler & 1 spectator per puppy (over 16yrs) at our location - spectators are permitted to spectate on the sidelines adhereing to the 2m distancing rule - please bring your own camp-chair
