Carla Bozulich used to be known as the singer from LA-based band Geraldine Fibbers and her duo with Nels Cline called Scarnella - currently she&rsquos in the spotlights through her experimental punk rock records released on the Canadian Constellation label. With sprawling rock, intense sonic/poetic experimentalism, feedback-based melodies, she confidently confronts the terrors and sickness of life, stomping on secrets and blind revellers that would stand in the way. Those who saw Evangelista back in the day at Rue Crickx know that a live show by Evangelista is where its at.

?Alos investigates the theme of the relation that binds the earth to the woman, the magic that reigns between them, the sixth sense, their secret language, the history, the inquisition. Using voice and hair, two of the ancient media used for pagan ritual bound to nature and femininity, her shows blend music and performance art into one focussed trip.

are based in Brussels and they call themselves a &ldquosatanic pop duo&rdquo. Obviously they want to avoid easy pidgeon-holing, but they also aim to underline the satanical resonance in the energy they radiate. There is indeed something evil in these people a subtle alchemy made up of catchy melodies, perverse guitars, groovy drum machines and supernatural sounds which stem from their theremin. Keiki are a touch of Black Sabbath meeting up with Deerhoof. They also conjure up the spirit of The Dead Kennedys, Enon, Add N To X and LL Cool J. Tonight they&rsquoll present their third album, Popcorn From The Grave, released on Cheap Satanism Records which includes a duet with Eugene Robinson from Oxbow.
