Vegan Thanksgiving 2019 at My Kitch’n Paris

Celebrate Native and Indigenous cultures this Thanksgiving, and give thanks to Mother Earth and all the colourful vibrant food she provides us with.

The My Kitch’n Thanksgiving Menu will be concocted from the so-called, “Three Sisters” Triad:

Corn
Beans
Squash

This food trinity are the three staple foods at the heart of most Indigenous American (North and South) agriculture and diets. This is no coincidence, because these foods can easily be grown interdependent on each other. What we now know as permaculture has been practiced forever by Indigenous peoples: growing your own food, being as efficient as possible with the land and water at your disposal.


“Three Sisters” Vegan Thanksgiving Menu, served “family style” (large sharing plates like a buffet):


Spiced apricot juice

Sweet coconut-ginger creamed corn

Sautéed jalapeño corn

Corn bread

Green beans with roasted red onions & red cabbage

Coleslaw

Mexican spiced 3 bean & corn salad  

Mashed potatoes with sautéed mushrooms, onions & parsley

Roasted sweet potato & butternut casserole


Desserts :

Caramel Pecan Pumpkin Cheesecake Bites

Chocolate cherry pie
Apple tart
