Description
It’s perfectly normal to feel nervous before doing something unfamiliar, or that you consider difficult or important. Public speaking is no exception. When that feeling gets in the way of saying what you want to say, or stops you enjoying it, then it becomes a problem.
On this new How-To session we are going to discuss some ways in which you can help yourself overcome this barrier to speaking your mind. There’s probably no cure for this feeling, but there are ways to cope with.
This interactive workshop provides:
- a supportive and non-judgemental setting to exchange experiences dealing with nervousness and share ideas on how to handle it
- techniques on how to reframe your thoughts about public speaking to reduce your anxiety
- practical tips on how to deal with the physical signs of nervousness
€5 for Green Heart members
€10 for guests and Toastmasters members from other clubs
Everyone is welcome! Light catering is offered.
