Le Château l'Hospitalet, situé sur une ancienne île entre Narbonne et la Méditerranée, est un vignoble entre terre et mer.
Au coeur de 1000 hectares de garrigue, celui-ci dispose d'un terroir exceptionnel sur l'appellation La Clape Coteaux du Languedoc.
Des conditions naturelles optimales y sont réunies, propices à la création de grands vins.
En 2002, Gérard Bertrand réalise son rêve et acquiert cette propriété qui constitue un des fleurons de la viticulture méridionale.
L'enfant du pays a l'ambition de faire partager sa passion pour les vins de terroirs sur ce site unique du massif de La Clape en devenant la référence de l'Art de Vivre méditerranéen.
Selon Gérard Bertrand "Le vin ne doit pas avoir le goût de quelque chose : il doit avoir le goût de quelque part". Partez à la découverte de la richesse de nos terroirs !

The Château l’Hospitalet, located on what was once an island between Narbonne and the Mediterranean Sea, is a vineyard between land and sea.
At the heart of 1000 hectares of garrigue, exists an exceptional terroir on the appellation La Clape Coteaux du Languedoc.
Optimal natural conditions unite, ideal for the creation of great wines.
In 2002, Gérard Bertrand realised his dream and acquired this property which is a gem of viticulture in the South of France.
Native to the region, his ambition remains to share his passion for wines of terroirs from this unique site of the mountain range La Clape by becoming the point of reference for the Mediterranean Art of Living.
According to Gérard Bertrand, “Wine should not have the taste of something: it must have the taste of somewhere”. Discover the rich nature of our terroirs!
The program for the visit is as follows :
- Welcome and presentation of the Chateau l’Hospitalet
- Exploration of the fauna and flora, trail through the vineyards
- Initiation to tasting
- Gérard Bertrand, an approach to biodynamics
- Visit of the cellar door
- Explanation of winemaking and aging in barrels
- Visit of the barrel cellar
- Duration of the visit: 1h30 (including the initiation to the tasting)

Please wear comfortable shoes for the visit.
Availability :
- From June to September: every day of the week : 10h30am-3h30pm-5h30pm
- October-November: Saturday, Sunday: 10h30am and 3h30pm
