Description
Event topic: Being human in Digital Spaces
To be connected to others, in many cases to do our jobs, to maintain a personal brand, and to cross a bridge out of isolation during the pandemic, even the most private and introverted among us should have a meaningful online presence. But how do we make our voices heard in the chaos of the web? What can we do to maximize our positive social media impact? What are some strategies we can use to fit posting to social media into our schedules? How should we choose digital platforms? How should we use images and videos in social media? This session is for anyone who would like to know how to make the most of her/his presence online, create a simple strategy, learn the basics of content creation and personal branding, and overcome fears. As always, it is an interactive session so Denise invites you to bring along your cases, questions, or challenges.
Denise Nickerson will provide expertise from her hands-on experience leading online communities for nearly a decade, as well as her communications and coaching work with creatives, innovators, athletes, coaches, and leadership in international organizations, universities, and multinationals. She’ll also share the story of Women Rock Switzerland, which grew to 3,000 members in just under 3 years and is a great testament to the power of a community.
In view of the current situation with Covid-19, we are adopting an exceptional fee structure for this event and we are combining this with a fundraising initiative to show solidarity with our local community.
We kindly ask you to help BPW Lake Geneva to support an excellent local cause, Les Cartons du Cœur, whose mission it is to provide assistance in the form of food and hygiene products to people who are in need. Every donation makes a difference to the impact they can have in the community. They have a branch covering La Côte and you can find out more on their website https://www.cartonsducoeur.ch/
How will this work?
- There is a basic charge of CHF 10:- for both members and guests for participating in this webinar - this money will go to Les Cartons du Cœur in the form of a donation from BPW Lake Geneva.
- You may if you wish pay more than this nominal fee, thereby increasing the total amount of funds that BPW Lake Geneva is able to donate on your behalf to Les Cartons du Cœur – simply tick the appropriate box, indicating how much you would like to pay.
We hope that we can count on both our members and guests to support this initiative and support Les Cartons du Cœur.
