Innovation Games Course Description
This course includes the Innovation Games Facilitator Certificate and Badge.
Why ?
As the systems we design for become more complex, work is changing from a solo activity to a team sport, where individuals, teams, partners, customers, ... need to work together. Cross-functional collaboration requires new skills and practices. How can you engage more people in the process, without losing the creative culture and energy that fuels the process? If you nod in agreement to any of the descriptions below, this workshop will be of real value to you.
- We often leave meetings wondering what just happened and why we were asked to attend
- It's a constant struggle to get coordination and innovation working
- We all have these great ideas but we aren't getting anywhere
- I want to get insight into the thoughts of my customer
- We could improve in so many areas, if only we knew how to visualize and manipulate complex information
- I want my company to be market leader, not follower. I need to learn the secret sauce !
How ?
Einstein once said: Play is the highest form of research. Innovation Games is about crafting and playing small but significant games to refine, iterate, prototype, and execute ideas. Innovation Games applies game thinking and game mechanics to quickly help you form simple models of complex systems, so you can involve others in the idea, explore systems, and experience them to gain new insights.
What ?
A sneak peek at some of the techniques you will be able to embrace
- Designing meeting agendas that drive you to a desired outcome
- Generating better ideas and more of them, faster than ever before
- Using simple visual language to increase comprehension, retention, and collaboration
- Applying improvisational discovery to keep participants physically and mentally engaged
- Mapping systems, visualize process problems and innovate as a team
- Using visual meeting artifacts to give decisions forward momentum
- Innovation Games gives you the secret sauce, my friends.
Deep customer understanding includes:
- Discover what customers don&rsquot like about your offerings
- Uncover unspoken needs and breakthrough opportunities
- Understand where your offerings fit into your customers&rsquo operations
- Clarify exactly how and when customers will use your product or service
- Deliver the right new features, and make better strategy decisions
- Increase empathy for the customers experience within your organization.
